LURAH FARRELL PITTS

Lurah Farrell Pitts, 75, of 301 Brandy Drive, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Pitts was born in Bent, N.M., to the late Clarence Otto Farrell and Mae Bell Simpson Farrell and was preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Dick" Pitts in May.
A homemaker, she was a loving mother and grandmother and had a sweet smile.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating.
Mrs. Pitts is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Ottie Mae and Eddie Mendez of California, Judy and Morris Hill of Kinston, Lola McCammon of Goldsboro and Ethel and Michael Foss of Dudley; her sons, Oliver Pitts and Jerry Pitts, both of Dudley; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at the residence.
