PIKEVILLE -- Willie Weaver Grimes, 85, of 3251 Big Daddy's Road, died Thursday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Grimes was born in Florence, S.C., to the late William G. Weaver and Maude Windham Weaver. She was married to the late Toby Grimes. Mrs. Grimes was a school teacher with Wayne County Public Schools for 271/2 years.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Gurkins officiating. Burial will follow in the West Cemetery in Faro.
Mrs. Grimes is survived by her daughter, Diane Mozingo and husband, Freddie, of Pikeville and Sherry Colie of Goldsboro; her son, Toby Grimes and wife, Debbie, of Pikeville; five grandchildren, Chris Ham, Jennifer Howell, Stacy Shaver, Brandy Mozingo and Christina Grimes; eight great-grandchildren, three nephews and one niece.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at her residence.
