Charles Frank Greene, 66, of 269 Perkins Road, Goldsboro went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Mr. Greene was the son of the late Carl and Mary Ella Mickens Greene. In addition he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ivy Lee Greene, Carl Greene Jr. and Alex McCall; and one sister, Linda Mae Ford.
He was the husband of Barbara Jean Greene, who survives. He was the proud father of five daughters and one son-in-law, Tanger Newman and husband, Phil, of Greene County, Stacy Greene of Charlotte, N.C., Tereena Jackson of Clayton, N.C., Keisha Greene of the home, Karen Little of New York; 11 sons and three daughters-in-law, Bobby Jean Greene, Richard Greene and wife, Deborah, David Greene and wife, Mary, Eugene Greene, James Jackson Greene, Edward Jackson, all of Goldsboro, N.C., Andy Jackson and wife, Dedra, of Fremont, N.C., Adrian Greene, James Jackson, Christopher Whittington, all of New York, Chester Jackson and wife, Crystal, of Greene County.
Others survivors, in addition to his wife, daughters, and sons include special grandson, Jamel Jones of Pikeville, N.C; 36 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters and three brothers-in-law, Lois Reid and husband, Ben, Mary Reid and husband, Thomas, all of Pikeville, N.C., and Frances Coley and husband, James, of Goldsboro, N.C.; brother and three sisters-in-laws, Lawrence Greene and wife, Margie, Emma Driskell Rose Greene of New York, Rosa Towner of Goldsboro, N.C.; mother-in-law, Pearlie New-man of Goldsboro, N.C.; special friends, Henrietta Webb and John Nebo and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 13, 2007, at Little Rock Church of Christ, Hwy 581, Pikeville, N.C., with Elder Ernest Watson officiating. Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
