MAE ELIZABETH YELVERTON

May 17, 1928-April 25, 2007

Mae Elizabeth Yelverton, 78, of 6035 Hwy 117 North died Wednesday at home.

A memorial service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont. The Rev. Judy Drye and Pastor H. Powell Dew Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service.

Mrs. Yelverton was born in Wayne County to the late Ralph and Elmira Womack Yelverton. She was a member of Fremont Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons, Paul Jordan of Libbern, Ga., James Jordan of Cocoa, Fla., Mark Jordan of Grapevine, Texas; and four daughters, Montine Wewerka and Beverly McIntyre, both of Woodbridge, Va., Elizabeth Murray of Fremont and Donna Schultz of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald Schultz, a daughter, Fern Delmege; one brother, Bunn Ray Yelverton; and one sister, Beverly Ann Aycock.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home Health and Hospice 3HC, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
