ELLA M.D. PEEDIN

Died Oct.26, 1908

Ella Mae Dail Peedin, 98, of Raleigh, formerly of Selma, died Saturday.

Born in Lenoir County, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Franklin and Agnes Driver Dail. Her husband was the late James Edwin "Ed" Peedin.

She was a member of Edgerton Memorial United Methodist Church in Selma and resided in Selma from the 1940s until moving to Raleigh in the 1990s to be closer to her children.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday in Edgerton Memorial Methodist Church in Selma, with burial following in Selma Memorial Gardens.

Surviving are a son, James Franklin Peedin and wife, Sandra, of Clayton; daughters, Faye Collins and husband, Jack, of Burlington, and Jean Gibbs and husband, Gordon, Linda Allen and husband, Ed, all of Raleigh, and Bonnie Burch and husband, Doug, of Goldsboro; a sister, Carrie Barnes of Four Oaks; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the fellowship hall at Edgerton Memorial Methodist Church.
