STANTONSBURG -- Alice Taylor Padgett, 83, formerly of Stantonsburg, died Friday in Raleigh.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Church St. Chapel of the Farmville Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery in Farmville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Becton Padgett, and son, Lewis Yelverton III.
She is survived by two daughters, Diana Alice Padgett of Pikeville and Lucinda Yelverton Dees of Raleigh; one granddaughter, Angela Padgett of Raleigh; and two great-granddaughters, Lucianna Taylor and Anya Joelle Padgett Jacobson.
