MARGARET WEBB POLLARD

Feb. 1, 1920-April 21, 2007

HAMLET -- Margaret Webb Pollard, 87, died Saturday at Britthaven of Hamlet. She was born in Richmond County to the late Leonard and Fredonia Covington Webb.

She retired from Richmond Memorial Hospital in the business office with 20 years of service. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hamlet.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Hamlet with the Rev. Randy Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery.

Surviving are two daughters, Brenda Turner and Lynda Davenport, both of Rockingham; two sons, Bill Mitchell of Rockingham, and Joe Mitchell of Goldsboro; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet, and at other times at the home of her daughter, Brenda Turner, 735 Cumberland Circle in Rockingham.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 208 Charlotte St., Hamlet, N.C., 27345 or to Richmond County Hospice, 1119 N. Highway 1, Rockingham, N.C., 28379.
