PIKEVILLE -- Timothy "Tim" Ralph Jackson, 49, 440 Old Kenly Road, died Sunday at his home.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Whitley Church in Princeton, with the Rev. Ferrell Hardison and the Rev. Andy Stovall officiating. Interment will follow at Pittman Family Cemetery, Fremont.

Tim was born in Wayne County to Ralph and Lois Bass Jackson of Eureka. He was a member of Whitley Church. He was a founding member of the Charles B. Aycock Alumni Singers where he served as past president and manager. Tim was also a founding member of Grace Way Quartet of Pikeville and member of the East Coast Gospel Music Association. He was a member of the Brogden Grange where he served as program director. Tim was a farmer and co-owner and operator of Nahunta Fresh Strawberries and Vegetables.

In addition to his parents, Tim is survived by his wife, Peggy Pittman Jackson; sons, Timothy Barnes and wife, Melanie, of California and Timothy Charles Jackson and wife, Sarah, of Pikeville; daughters, Karen Lee and husband, Vaden, of Fremont and Dana Sawrey and husband, Willie, of Goldsboro; brother, Keith Jackson and wife, Nina, of Goldsboro; sisters, Judith Jackson and husband, Gerald, of Wilson and Yvonne Jackson Sauls and husband, Richard, of Eureka; and six grandchildren, Skyler and Tyler Barnes, Will, Nicholas and Ethan Sawrey and Bryant Lee.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont and other times at the residence.

Although flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, c/o Dr. Elbert Jackson, DDS, 804 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, NC 27530.
