July 29, 1990 - April 13, 2007

LAGRANGE -- Nathan Lynn Ford, 16, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2007, at home.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, April 16, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Oak Forest Church of Christ. Elder Dennis Mays will officiate.

Nathan was born in Johnston County on July 29, 1990, to Brian Ford and Vivian Singleton Ford.

He was a sophomore at Spring Creek High School, where he was an honor student. Nathan was actively involved in school activities where he played Varsity football and was on the Junior Varsity and Varsity golf teams. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter. Nathan was very active in his church at Oak Forest Church of Christ. He participated in the Lads to Leaders Convention, where his team placed second in High School Debate and first in Puppet Ministry.

He was the finest son any human being could have had. The family requests that everybody hug and love their children every day and don't take tomorrow for granted.

Nathan is survived by his loving parents, Brian and Vivian Ford; two brothers, Tyler Ford of Messick, Ind., and Aaron Ford of Muncie, Ind.; one sister, Sarah Ford, of the home; his paternal grandmother, Marilyn Ford of Wabash, Ind.; maternal grandparents, Wade and Candace Singleton of Lillington; one niece, Allie Ford of New Castle, Ind.; one nephew, Phillip Ford of New Castle; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Lynn Ford of Wabash, Ind.; and his maternal grandmother, Veleda Darr Singleton of Madison, Wis.

The family will receive friends following the service on Monday at the church building.

Although flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be directed to Oak Forest Church of Christ, in memory of Nathan Ford, 2705 Park Drive, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
