JOSEPH THADDEUS RACZKOWSKI

Major Joseph Thaddeus Raczkowski, retired United States Air Force, 71, died Thursday while enjoying his favorite hobby of golfing at Lane Tree Golf Club.

Born in Syracuse, N.Y., he was the son of the late Sophie and Joseph Raczkowski and was preceded in death by a sister and a brother. Mr. Raczkowski retired from the U.S. Air Force and served in Vietnam where he was awarded two Distinguished Flying Crosses and 16 Air Medals for combat missions flown. He also retired from Waukesha Electric Systems with more than 17 years of employment.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Norris, O.S.F.S. officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Ceme-tery with full military honors.

Mr. Raczkowski is survived by his wife, Amelia "Millie" M. Raczkowski; his son, Joseph A. Raczkowski of Goldsboro; his daughter, Diane M. Raczkowski of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Joseph T. "Joey" Raczkowski and Heather R. Raczkowski; and his niece and nephews, Robert and Judy Sulewski and Stanley Sulewski, all of Colombia, Tenn.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058.

The family will greet friends Monday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
