WARSAW -- Tomas Mendez Perez, 57, of 1078N N.C. 50 and U.S. 117, formerly of Guanajuato Celaya, Mexico, died Tuesday at Duplin General Hospital, Kenansville. He received his education in Mexico.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel, Warsaw. Interment will follow in Martin Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Alicia Avila Duran of Mexico; sons, Alejandro Mendez Avila of Warsaw, Marces, Luis, and Juan Mendez, all of Mexico; brother, Delia Mendez of Mexico; two grandchildren.
Viewing will be today from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
