KINSTON -- Harry Carlyle, 77, 758 Clark Drive, died Sunday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Lenoir County to the late George and Pachie Fields Carlyle and was preceded in death by a son, Dwight Carlyle; grandson, Kristopher Carlyle; and son-in-law, Donald Brown. He was a retired truck driver with Barrus Construction Com-pany.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. from Rouse Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Daly's Chapel Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marie Carter Carlyle; daughters, Rose Brown of Kinston, Diane Neal and husband, Freddie, of Kinston, Shirley Mayo of Dover; son, Tony Carlyle and special family friend, Melinda, of Kinston; sister, Hazel Garner of Kinston; grandchildren, Carlos, Toni Ann, Anthony, Eric, Ashley, Elizabeth, Heather; step-grandchildren, D.J. and Scott; great-grandchildren, Alex, Aaron, Alyssa, Hailey, Brittany, Austin, Kourtney, Kent, Kaleb, Madison and Elaina; step-great-grandchild, Victoria.
Family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home and at other times they will be at the home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rousefh.com.
