MCKINLEY FARMER

McKinley Farmer, 74, 1005 E. Walnut St., died Wednesday at his residence. He was born in Greene County and preceded in death by his parents, Hardy Farmer Sr. and Annie Davis Farmer and a brother, Arthur Ray Farmer.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. H.E. McNair officiating. Burial will be at Wayne Memorial Park.

He is survived by daughters, Gwendolyn Holland of Clinton, Md., Brenda Farmer of Dover, Del., Angela Lingham of Washington, D.C., Stephanie Farmer of Raleigh; son, William McKinley Farmer of Washington, D.C.; sisters, Dorothy Boone of East Stroudsburg, Pa., Annie Farmer-Kier and Grace Farmer Bell, both of Goldsboro, Phyllis Garrison of Durham, Ernestine Johnson of Knightdale; brothers, John Farmer of Bronx, N.Y., Hardy Farmer Jr. and William Farmer, both of Goldsboro, Willie Farmer Sr. of Wilson; eight grandchildren.

Viewing will be Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. with the family present to receive friends from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministires.

Family will assemble at the home of his sister, Grace Bell, 416 Hare Road in preparation for the funeral procession.
