LUTHER G. CREECH

NEWTON GROVE -- Luther Graham Creech, 78, died at home Wednesday. He was born to Luther Carl and Estelle Parrish Creech of Selma. In 1954, he came to Newton Grove with First Citizens Bank and Trust Company where he worked until retirement. Mr. Creech was a member of St. Paul Free Will Baptist Church, Newton Grove, where he served as Sunday school teacher and superintendent, deacon and clerk. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Funeral services will be at St. Paul Free Will Baptist Church Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be at West and Dunn Funeral Home today from 6 to 8 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Verla Phillips Creech; son, Carl Creech and wife, Mindy, of Fayetteville; daughter, Phyllis Brenner and husband, Joe, of Boca Raton, Fla; five granddaughters, Lindsey and Carlin Creech, Joanna, Kristen and Heather Brenner.
