EAST ELMHURST, N.Y. -- Samuel Gerald, 62, died Sunday in Margaret Tietz Nursing Home in Jamaica Queens, N.Y.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, Goldsboro. Burial will be at Wayne Memorial Park, North.
He is survived by mother, Hortense M. Smith; sons, Reginald Sasser of Dudley and Gino Carmichael of Rochester, N.Y.; daughter, Valencia Roach of Cheverly, Md.; three grandchildren; sister, Rosa Cauthern of Goldsboro.
Viewing will be at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries, Goldsboro, Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Family will be receiving friends at 221 Hooks River Road and will assemble there in preparation for the funeral.
