PRINCETON -- James Richard "Jamie" Howell, 27, died Sunday at Duke Medical Center. He was born in Wayne County to the late Judith Ann Overbee Howell and was preceded in death by a son, James Curtis Howell. Mr. Howell was employed with the Paul Barbour and Sons of Fuquay-Varina as an installer for more than seven years and was a member of the Pentecostal Christian Assemblies, Goldsboro.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home, Princeton, with the Rev. Sherwood Howell and the Rev. Lewis Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

He is survived by his son, Austin James Howell of Nashville, Tenn.; daughter, McKinsey Leanne Howell of Princeton; father and stepmother, Richard and Lena Howell of Princeton; paternal grandmother, Grace Howell of Princeton; brother, James Tyler Howell of Princeton; sister, Tammy Howell Talton of Princeton; stepbrothers, Jamie Penny of Seven Springs, Jerry Lee McCallister of Pine Level; stepsisters, Joy Lee Pope and Jessica Alleen Henson, both of Princeton, Kari Ann McCallister of Dudley and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home and at other times at the home of his sister, Tammy H. Talton, 226 Talton Road, Princeton, 27569.
