Dora Mae Davis Parks, 76, passed away on Wednesday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Jerusalem Free Will Baptist Church in Seven Springs. Elder Anthony Davis Sr. will officiate. Burial will follow at Broadhurst Memorial Gardens in Seven Springs.

Mrs. Parks was born in Duplin County to the late Zeb Davis and Bessie Philpot Davis. She was a graduate of Frank High School in LaGrange. Mrs. Parks retired from Cherry Hospital and was a member of Jerusalem Free Will Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.

She is survived by her husband, Paul E. Parks; a son, Harrell Parks of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Janice Chambers of Goldsboro, Renee Parks Bryant and husband, Elgin, of Durham and Paula Renette Harrison and husband, Cedric, of Raleigh; a sister, Mary Davis of Dudley; sixteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Parks was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Parks; three brothers, Zeb Davis, Jerome Davis and Daniel Davis; and one sister, Annie Ruth Exum.

The viewing will be held today from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. at Jerusalem Free Will Baptist Church in Seven Springs.
