AUBREY MURFREE

Aubrey Murfree, 81, of 1201 Carlton Church Road, Warsaw, died Wednesday at his home.

A native of Duplin County, he was born to the late Jimerson Dewey and Clara Williams Murfree. He was a retired farmer and an Army veteran.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Wilson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Turkey. The Revs. Isaac Johnson and Jimmy Williams will officiate. Burial will be at the Murfree Family Cemetery in Warsaw. Visitation will be held at the church today from 6 until 8 p.m.

Mr. Murfree is survived by his wife, Willie Ruth Murfree of the home; a daughter, Roxana M. Alston of Burlington; two sons, Benjamin J. Kurtz and Willie A. Kurtz, both of Warsaw; three sisters, Mary M. Dawtin of St. Albans, N.Y., Frances Clayton of Warsaw, Vivian Cottman of Palm Coast, Fla.; a brother, Joshua W. Murfree of Cresent, Ga.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
