L.M. "PETE" CARR

Livius Marion "Pete" Carr, 88, 917 Eleventh St., died Thursday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Mr. Carr was born in Rocky Mount to the late John Spicer and Hattie May Cogdell Carr. He was a retired electrical contractor. Mr. Carr served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Funeral services will be Friday at 6 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Steven Briggs presiding. Interment will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with military honors.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Sewell Carr; daughter, Marion Carr Puhl and husband, Philip; son, Livius Steven Carr; grandchildren, Kelly Dees Denny, Tracy Dees Vanderpool, Billie Dees Pierce, Livius Steven Carr Jr. and Matthew Hunter Carr; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, John Spicer Carr and William Ray Carr; and his sisters, Viola Carr Clinard and Jewell Carr Casey.
He was preceded in death by his son, John Robert Carr.
The family will receive friends tonight following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
