MINNIE H. ANDERSON

Minnie Mae Howell Anderson, 80, 1105 11th St., died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory, Goldsboro, with Dr. Thomas Harper, the Rev. Jimmy Whitfield and the Rev. G.A. Howell officiating. Graveside service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
She was born in Wayne County to the late Rufus Albert and Lillie Sutton Howell and was a member of Second Baptist Church, Goldsboro.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband, Woodrow James Anderson; son, Dennis R. Anderson of Raleigh; two daughters, Joyce Ann Cunningham and husband, Allen, of Goldsboro and Gloria Jane Anderson of Raleigh; brother, the Rev. George Albert "G.A." Howell and wife, Wilma, of Mount Olive; six sisters, Blonnie Howell Forrest, Estelle Howell Godwin, Katie Howell Edwards, all of Goldsboro, Lucille Howell Rackley of Dunn, Edith Howell Sutton and Mable Howell Britton, both of Mount Olive; five grandchildren, Andrea Victoria Gilbert and husband, Kevin, Nelson, Philip and Jessica Cunningham and James Richard Cauley Jr.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Brenda Anderson Cauley and Deborah Kay Anderson Bailey; two brothers, Edgar and Albert Cherry Howell; one sister, Alice Howell Wallace; and two grandchildren, David Anderson Lawhorn and Stephanie Lynn Cauley.
The family will receive friends following the funeral service Wednesday at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence, 1105 11th St., Goldsboro.
Although flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be directed to Howell Memorial Cemetery Fund, 116 Foley Drive, Garner, N.C. 27529.
