FAISON -- Jessie James Bell, 101, 660 Julious Lucas Road, died Friday at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Greater Six Run Baptist Church, with the Rev. Leslie Morrisey officiating. Burial will follow in the Faison Community Cemetery.

He is the son of the late Joseph and Nicey Hobbs Bell.

He was a retired farmer and served as a deacon of Greater Six Run Baptist Church and as a mason with Masonic Lodge Silver Square No. 3.

He is survived by five sons, William Bell and Milton Bell of New York City, N.Y., James Bell of Sanford, N.C., Dallas Bell of Turkey, N.C., and Jessie Bell of Long Island, N.Y.; two daughters, Emma Moore of Fayetteville and Mary Ann Martin of Clinton; one sister, Gertrude Best of Fayetteville; 30 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be Monday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Garris Funeral Home Chapel. The family will be present from 7 until 8 p.m. to receive friends. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Dallas Bell, 24 Oak St. Turkey.
