CATHERINE W. ALLEN

Catherine Lucille Whitehead Allen, 86, died early Saturday at SunBridge Care Center in Mount Olive.
Born in Houston County, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Alto and Bell Prevatte Whitehead and the widow of Aaron Allen. She was a member of Auburndale Free Will Baptist Church in Auburndale, Fla., and she was a retired nursing assistant.
She is survived by a son and two daughters-in-law, Donald and Wanda Parrish of Faison and Margaret Parrish of Polk City, Fla., widow of deceased son, Lamar Parrish; a daughter and son-in-law, Geraldine and Merrel "Buck" Rozier of Jacksonville, Fla.; nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are scheduled for Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Pisgah Cemetery in Perry, Fla.
A memorial service will be held at the Faison Baptist Church in Faison at a time to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Faison Baptist Men's Brotherhood Fellowship, PO Box 280, Faison N.C. 28341.
Friends will be received at the Don Parrish home at 206 Williams St., Faison.
Arrangements are being handled by Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive.
