ANISE K. MCKEE

MOUNT OLIVE -- Anise Kelly McKee, 74, of 628 West Main St., died early Wednesday morning in Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.

Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Emmett E. and Ethel Smith Kelly. She was reared in the Red Hill community near Mount Olive and was a childhood member of Alum Springs Baptist Church. She graduated from B. F. Grady High School, attended Woman's College at Greensboro, and graduated from East Carolina University in Greenville, after which she taught school for several years in the Mount Olive School System. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Mount Olive having taught Sunday school, was a past member of the church choir, and she especially enjoyed working with the children of the church. She was a member of the Twentieth Century Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and several bridge clubs.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the First United Methodist Church of Mount Olive. Dr. H. Dennis Draper, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Her family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home this evening 6 to 7:30 p.m., and at the home at other times.

Mrs. McKee is survived by her husband, Guy V. McKee Jr. of the home; a son, Mac McKee of Beaufort; a daughter and son-in-law, Kelly M. and Buddy Seymour of Greensboro; two grandchildren, Haley Seymour and Will Seymour of Greensboro; numerous nieces and nephews to include niece, Camille W. Emmer, her husband, David, and their children, David and Lauren, all of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Patsy K. and Donald Summerlin of Clinton, Lovey K. Walton of Clinton, and Jeanette K. Evans of Raleigh; and a sister-in-law, Mary Stuart Langston Pope and husband, Buddy ,of Morehead City.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Earl Stuart McKee and a sister, Gwen K. Rhodes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the First United Methodist Church, PO Box 420, Mount Olive, NC 28365, or the Salvation Army, PO Box 264, Goldsboro, NC 27533

The McKee Family extends a special thanks and appreciation for the loving care given to her by Jackie Wallace, Maxine Lipscomb, Betty Hall, Jan Davidson, and Pam Hamm, and special gratitude for the support of family and friends.
