SNOW HILL -- Brian Kevin Hart, 36, died Sunday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
He was a graduate of Greene Cen-tral High School and continued his education at the Univer-sity of N.C. at Chapel Hill where he earned his undergraduate degree in Physical Education. Kevin worked as the Assistant Coach at Barton College as well as the Varsity Basketball Coach at his alma mater, Greene Central High School. While in graduate school, he also worked in the film room of the N.C. State Basketball Team. In addition to his coaching, Kevin maintained his own construction business, Ace Roofing, where he specialized in roofing repair and covering. Kevin was a member of Fort Run PFWB Church where he had attended all of his life.
Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Greene Central High School Gymnasium with the Rev. Ronnie Heath and the Rev. Larry Turlington officiating. Committal services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Snow Hill Cemetery.
Kevin is survived by his mother, Karen Hart Wiggins and husband, Horace, of Snow Hill; maternal grandparents, Delma and Ann Hart of Snow Hill; and his aunts and uncles who he considered siblings, Pamela Coward, Connie H. White and James Delma Hart II, all of Snow Hill, and Delma Ann Newsome of LaGrange.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service Wednesday and other times at the home of Karen and Horace Wiggins, 312 Hines St., Snow Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Greene Central Athletic Department, C/o James Fulghum, 140 School Drive, Snow Hill, 28580.
