John Earl Coley, 74, of 340 Durham Lake Road, Dudley died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Augusta Chapel Bap-tist Church on Durham Lake Road. Pastor Brady Carmack will officiate. Burial will follow in the Augusta Chapel Church Cemetery.
Mr. Coley is a native of Wayne County, and was a member of the senior choir at Augusta Chapel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Mollie Coley, and by two sisters Etheline C. King, and Lila Bell C. Brodie.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mable T. Coley of the home, one daughter, Linda C. Thompson of Goldsboro; one sister, Helen C. Davis of Goldsboro; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton Funeral Home, 423 South James St.
