Sarah Yelverton Sauls, 83, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was born in Wayne County to the late William Lloyd and Carrie West Yelverton and was married to the late Wilbur Sauls.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eddie McKeel officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Sauls is survived by her daughter, Brenda Witherington; her grandchildren, Chris Witherington and fiancé, Michelle, of Goldsboro and Ron Witherington and wife, Kelli, of Goldsboro; her great-grandchildren, Matthew and Jordan Witherington; her sister, Margaret Y. Batten of Goldsboro; her brother, Lloyd Yelverton Jr. of Goldsboro; several nieces and nephews, including Annette Gurley of LaGrange and Debbie Witherington of Goldsboro.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert "Bob" Yelverton and Ray Yelverton and her sister, Edna Y. Heath.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Annette and Gerald Gurley, 263 LaGrange Road, LaGrange.
