Retired Air Force Lt. Col. Frederick Robert Pearson, 77, 105 Deerborn Dr., died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with full military honors with the Rev. Bill Ordelt officiating.
A native of Mahanoy City, Pa., he was born Sept. 14, 1929, the son of the late Frederick and Margaret Roberts Pearson. He served his country during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War.
Surviving is his wife, Faye L. Pearson; daughter, Nan P. Price and husband, Eddie, of Ayden; son, Frederick J. Pearson and wife, Donna, of Summerfield; and granddaughters; Ashlie F. Pearson of Raleigh and Megan L. Pearson of Charlotte.
The family requests memorials be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 532 Country Day Rd., Goldsboro, 27530
The family will receive friends following the service at the church and at other times will be at the residence.
