TARBORO -- Funeral services for Nora Newsome, 93, 1704 W. Wilson St., formerly of Fremont, will be Saturday at 11a.m. at St. James Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, Church in Fremont with the Rev. Johnnie C. Sherrod officiating. Interment will be in the Fremont Cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Carrie Hussey of Tarboro; one son, Hubert Newsome Jr. of Villa Rica, Ga.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel in Goldsboro and also on Saturday 10 to 11 a.m. at St. James Church of Christ in Fremont. Condolences may be faxed to 735-4586 or emailed to: rhodesfh1@aol.com.
