Peggy Mahoney Barrett, age 59, of 1888 Hwy. 13 South, died Wednesday from injuries received in an automobile accident. Born in Manning, S.C., she is the daughter of Josephine Brunson Mahoney of Sumter, S.C. and the late James Daniel Mahoney. Employed with Advantage Marketing, she was an active member of the Tarheel Twirlers Square Dance Club and an officer with the North Carolina Square Dance Federation.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 23rd at 2 p.m. at the Goldsboro Worship Center with Pastor Jerry Andrews and Pastor Danny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Barrett is survived by her husband, Jack Barrett; a daughter and son-in-law, Leslie B. and Billy Anderson of Grantham; a son and daughter-in-law, Gregory J. and Kim Barrett of Grantham; a daughter-in-law, Angela Wise of Grantham; one sister and brother-in-law, Ida Mae and Everette Harrington of Sumter, S.C.; six grandchildren, Ryan, Hayley, Ashton, Heidi, Kylie and Noah; two step-grandchildren, Kelly and Cameron; and one step-great- grandchild, Hunter.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Leslie Anderson, 1884 Hwy. 13 South, Goldsboro.

Peggy will be remembered for being a dedicated and loving wife, mother and Nana.
