CLARA D. PLANTY

PIKEVILLE - Clara Desourdy Planty, 71, 110 N. Fort St., died today at Pitt Memorial Hospital.
She was born to the late Harry and Gertrude Clark De-sourdy and was a member of Bethel Church.
Memorial service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Bethel Church with the Rev. Steve Holder officiating.
She is survived by her husband, Avery Planty; her daughters, Eva Pittman of Goldsboro and April Planty of Pikeville; her sons, Jeff Planty of N.Y. and Avery E. Planty of Seven Springs; her sister, Lillian Valyer of N.Y.; her brothers, Marvin and Frank Desourdy, both of N.Y.; nine grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Bethel Church, 2308 N. William St., Goldsboro, 27530.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
Arrangements are by Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
