IRIS S. LOFTIN
Iris Sparrow Loftin, 71, died Thursday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
The funeral will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Garner Funeral Home in Kinston. Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Maplewood Cemetery.
Mrs. Loftin was the daughter of the late Eugene and Julia Whitley Sparrow and was the widow of Zeb Loftin. She was employed as office manager for Dr. Lewis L. Casey for 11 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Dianne L. Wright of Winston-Salem and Debbie L. Thigpen of Mount Olive; five brothers, Lynwood "Mutt," Eugene "Buddy," Pete, Jerry and Ed Sparrow; and four grandchildren
The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service tonight.
