Adam R. Montague of Goldsboro recently earned the Purdue Crop Professional Certificate.

Montague is the parts manager at Atlantic & Southern, a full-line AGCO Dealer for Massey Ferguson, RoGator, Challenger, Sunflower and TerraGator products.

The online, three-course program focuses on agronomy essentials, nutrient management and precision agriculture.

The Purdue Agronomy e-Learning Academy was formed in 2015 and has since enrolled more than 1,000 students representing 90 companies from more than 43 states and 35 countries.

AGCO Corp. partnered with Purdue University in 2016 to offer the certificate to AGCO employees, and later, AGCO dealership employees.

"When the curriculum was presented to us, it was an easy decision to partner with Purdue University to offer these courses to AGCO employees and dealers," said Robert Crain, AGCO senior vice president, Americas. "AGCO believes strongly in being an agronomic resource to our customers to help them reach their agricultural goals."

The Purdue Crop Professional Certificate Program is open to the public and can be accessed at: https://ag.purdue.edu/agry/ADE/Pages/default.aspx.

In 2009, Atlantic & Southern partnered with AGCO Corporation to provide sales, parts, and service for its full line of agricultural equipment in Alabama.

Atlantic & Southern supports the full AGCO product line in their shops, in the field and at the parts counters for traditional farmers, agricultural retailers and professional producers.

As acknowledgement of their excellent product support and growth, Atlantic & Southern was awarded opportunities to expand their service territory in Tifton, Georgia, in 2010; in Dothan, Alabama, in 2013; and in Goldsboro in 2014.

Atlantic & Southern Equipment has achieved the rank of an AGCO Top 10 North American Dealer during the past three years.

AGCO is a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of agriculture equipment and solutions and supports more productive farming through its full line of equipment and related services.

Founded in 1990, AGCO is headquartered in Duluth, Georgia.
