Cathryn Jones of Mount Olive recently received a 2018 National FFA Scholarship sponsored by Rabo AgriFinance, a financial solutions provider for leading U.S. agricultural producers and agribusinesses.

"We are grateful to be given the opportunity to support future ag leaders such as Cathryn," said Marie Schick, business development manager with Rabo AgriFinance. "Rabo AgriFinance has optimism for U.S. agriculture in the long term. An important part of that positive outlook is the talented, young individuals who are passionate for the industry's success."

A 2018 graduate from Southern Wayne High School, Cathryn is the daughter of Tony and Kristal Jones. The $2,000 National FFA Scholarship will go toward tuition at N.C. State University, where she plans to study agricultural business management.

To receive the scholarship, Jones needed to posess standout qualities: have at least a 3.0 GPA, rank in the top half of her graduating class, be a FFA member and exhibit strong leadership skills.
