Rosewood Middle School to dismiss at 9 a.m. due to water main break

Rosewood Middle School will dismiss at 9 a.m. today due to a water main break on its campus, according to Wayne County Public Schools spokesman Ken Derksen.
Officials discovered the break around 7:30 a.m., Derksen said. When maintenance crews determined they would not be able to have the line fixed quickly, the system had no choice but to dismiss class early.
Derksen said the break did not occur in the school itself.
"The break is not on the school side of the water line," he said. "I believe it's in the water line leading into the school."
The school system expects that water district crews will have all repairs made by this afternoon.
