Parents and high schoolers are invited to learn more about the tuition-free option for qualified high school students at Wayne Community College.
Career and College Promise, or CCP, is for rising high school freshmen through seniors. The "CCP Showcase" will be held on Feb. 12 and 26, 6-7:30 p.m.
Participants will learn about the dual-enrollment college-credit program and its "pathways" for high school junior and seniors to accelerated completion of college certificates, diplomas or degrees that lead to college transfer or provide entry-level job skills. The CCP program is open to public and private school students as well as those who attend registered home schools.
The showcase features a 30-minute presentation at 6:30 p.m. in Moffatt Auditorium, the main building on the college's main campus. Reservations and registration are not required.
The program features a half-hour at the beginning and the end for students and parents to visit career pathway exhibits.
