A.C.E. Team makes arrests

Traffic stops by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team resulted in drug charges against three different people.
The first stop was Friday, Nov. 24, on North Herman Street close to the Light House Mart.
The driver, Brandon Montez Young, 32, of 819 E. End Circle, was found to be in possession of a large amount of marijuana, according to Sheriff's Office press release.
Young was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining dwelling/vehicle, driving while license revoked and tint violation.
He was placed under a $3,000 unsecured bond.
The other two arrests followed stops made in the area of Arrington Bridge Road and Bill Lane Boulevard shortly after midnight Saturday, Nov. 25.
Following a stop, Anthony Scott Carter, the driver, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.
Carter, 23, of 908 N.C. 222 East, Lot B, Fremont, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license revoked.
Carter received a $2,500 secured bond and was left in the custody of the Wayne County Jail.
In the second stop, a passenger in the vehicle, Roger Dale Dillard, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, cocaine, and a concealed handgun.
Dillard, 36, of 245 Adams Road, Seven Springs, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed handgun and carrying a concealed weapon.
He received a $3,500 secured bond and was left in the custody of the Wayne County Jail.
