Someone stole over $2,000 worth of electrical appliances from an unoccupied home on the 900 block of North Carolina Street Monday, according to a Goldsboro Police Department investigation report.
According to the report, the owner of the property told police that an unknown person had entered the home some time between September 18 and October 30, possibly by pushing in a window air conditioning unit and entering through the window. After getting inside, the suspect removed two air conditioning units, a refrigerator, and kitchen stove, with a total value of around $2,400. The suspect also damaged two window panes, valued at around $200.
Although the residence was vacant, there were clothing items, liquor bottles and trash inside, suggesting that several people had been inside, according to the report.
