Sex offender facing charges after being on school grounds

A registered sex offender is facing charges after allegedly being on the grounds of Southern Wayne High School Sept. 11.
Daryl Linwood Locklear, 35, of 708 Corporate Drive Room 258, is charged with sex offender unlawfully on premises.
Detective Sgt. Robert Golimowski said Locklear was on the premises in a car for about two minutes, and did not have any contact with any children at the school.
The incident was brought to the attention of the Wayne County Sheriff's Office by probation and parole, who realized Locklear was at the high school because he wears an electronic ankle bracelet monitor.
Golimowski said Locklear was then picked up by probation and parole Sept. 15 and charged.
Locklear was put in the Wayne County Jail under a $5,000 secured bon
