A man is in custody after allegedly pointing a gun at a woman and threatening to kill her Monday, according to a report from the Goldsboro Police Department.

According to the report, the woman was standing on the front porch of her Chestnut Street residence when Quentin Dean Jackson, 27, of 1313 N. Jefferson Ave. walked into her yard.

Jackson allegedly pointed a black handgun at the woman and threatened to kill her but fled on foot after a vehicle passed by the residence.

Goldsboro police Maj. Anthony Carmon said he did not know if officers recovered Jackson's handgun.

The woman secured warrants for Jackson's arrest, and GPD officers later located him at 419 Denmark St.

Carmon said he did not know why Jackson fled to that address.

Jackson is charged with assault by pointing a gun and communicating threats. He was placed in the Wayne County Jail and given no bond.
