PIKEVILLE -- Wayne County sheriff's deputies are searching for three armed men who robbed the Dollar General at 2420 Pikeville-Princeton Road Monday night.
Three black men entered the business at about 9:33 p.m. and two of them were brandishing handguns while the third wielded a long gun, according to a report filed with the agency.
The trio forced the employees inside the business to the front of the store where the cash registers are located.
The report said they then took an undetermined amount of money and put it in a white trash bag.
Then, while one person stood at the front of the store, the other two reportedly forced the employees into the back office of the store and appeared to search around for a safe or camera memory.
The suspects then took the employees' store keys, but threw them back on the counter before fleeing, according to the report.
There is no further description on the report of the three suspects.
