The Wayne County Sheriff's Office arrested two people today in connection to break-ins at Southern Wayne High School in June.
Power tools were taken from areas where shop class is held, loaded into a wheelbarrow and stolen.
Dillon Blake Brown, 23, of 253 Brewington Drive, Dudley, is charged with two counts of felony breaking or entering, two counts of felony larceny and one count of felony possession of stolen goods/property.
Somer Hill Herring, 35, of 579 Cox Pond Road, Mount Olive, is charged with two counts felony breaking or entering, two counts of felony larceny and one count of felony possession of stolen goods/property.
The pair allegedly broke into two buildings on the property in late June where the school holds shop class after sneaking up a nature trail behind the school.
This act was captured on surveillance video, a press release said.
Brown and Herring then fled the scene by going back down the nature trail to their car, which was parked by the track.
Some of the stolen property has been recovered and given back to the rightful owners.
An investigation is still underway into a similar incident from April.
Brown was given a $40,000 secured bond, and Herring was given a $20,000 secured bond.
