Police identify three men in connection to Circle K brawl

Full SizeGoldsboro police arrested three men they believe were involved in the massive brawl outside the Circle K convenience store on Wayne Memorial Drive.
Adrane Lafette Swinson, 27, 212 Brookwood Drive, Jaikelvin Dyondra Maye, 28, 419 Slocumb St., and Kysheem Jayire Langston, 18, 718 Jackson St., were charged with disorderly conduct stemming from the incident this afternoon hours after police identified them as suspects.
They were arrested without incident and released under $500 secured bonds. Their first appearance is set for Aug. 29.
On Aug. 5, at around 2:30 a.m., a clerk working at the Circle K store and gas station, at 2101 Memorial Drive, called to report a "big group of people" fighting in the parking lot, according to police.
Shortly after the call, other calls were received at the communication center reporting the fight. One report of the incident estimated there were as many as 150 people on the scene when police arrived.
Twelve Goldsboro police officers responded to the scene and reported that there were two separate fights in the parking lot and one near the intersection.
Based on the initial investigation, many of the people at the store had been out Friday evening, police said..
A 17-year-old reported to police he was jumped by about 10 other men, all in their 20s, at the gas station after leaving Morgan's nightclub on East Ash Street. The teenager said he had danced with one of the suspect's girlfriend. The teenager, who was taken to the hospital with injuries, is expected to recover from the incident.
A Facebook Live video of the incident was broadcast as the fights unfolded.
The person who shot the Facebook Live video that captured the fight was recording a large group of people in front of the gas station for about two minutes before people began fighting.
Several people are seen hitting a young man, who is knocked to the ground. Then, a group of men continue by kicking a beating him.
The video shows one fight breaking out at the front door of the gas station before capturing another in-between a car and a gas pump.
Goldsboro police, in a news release, said officers are "extremely concerned with the violence that occurred."
Police are working to prevent future similar incidents in the city.
"The Goldsboro Police Department has reached out to the management of Circle K to develop a plan of action to ensure the safety of customers and to prevent events like this from happening in the future," according to a statement issued by the department.
The investigation into the fight is ongoing and other charges against more suspects are anticipated.
