Arrest made in January shooting

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office arrested a man on warrants Tuesday, while deputies were searching for possible armed suspect Ricky Terrell Ward.
According to a press release, deputies conducted a search for Ward near Durham Lake Road in Dudley when they received information on another man who had been eluding arrest since January.
Deputies went to the home of Kelly Sharone Garner, 30, of 105 Connie's Walk, where they arrested Garner "without incident" on warrants for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury; attempted robbery and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
He was placed in the Wayne County jail under a secured $576,000 bond.
According to a previous release, deputies went to 161 Cobb Coley Lane in Dudley on Jan. 6, in response to a man being shot. The man was found with a gunshot wound to his shoulder and arm.
EMS took the victim to Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Deputies discovered the man was shot at 198 Hack Drive in Dudley where the man told officers at the hospital a person demanded money from him and then shot him.
According to the report, deputies determined Garner was involved in the shooting.
