Two men face felony charges after an investigation linked them to a robbery that took place March 14 at the Saulston Food Mart.
Chester Lee McNeil Jr., 30, of 701 U.S. 70 Bypass, and Marcus Matthews McKinney Cobb, 25, of 119 Saulsberry Drive, are each charged with felony common law robbery.
McNeil was arrested in Greenville and is charged with multiple other counts of criminal activity not related to the robbery, a press release said.
Cobb was arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
The two men are accused of snatching money from a woman's hand when she met them at the Saulston Food Mart to purchase an item they advertised on social media, according to the release.
Capt. Richard Lewis with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said the woman met the two men to purchase a gaming system.
McNeil and McKinney allegedly came to the store in a van and the woman, who was already at the store, got out and walked to the van to make the exchange, the release said.
When she got to the van, Cobb grabbed the money out of her hand and McNeil sped off in the van heading down Wayne Memorial Drive.
The woman tried to follow them, but lost them.
Lewis said he did not know how much money the men allegedly took from the woman.
McNeil was given a $20,000 secured bond, while Cobb was given a $2,000 secured bond.
Lewis said Cobb had posted bail and wass no longer in jail as of Friday morning, but he did not know whether or not McNeil was still in jail.
