MOUNT OLIVE-- James Dills, right, pours freshly made sausage gravy into a pan so that Christina Santiago can add it to her plate during the Mount Olive community breakfast Christmas Eve morning hosted by Masonic Lodge No. 208. Dills has been cooking the biscuits for the event for as long as he can remember. The breakfast, named in memory of Fitzhugh Smith, started in 1984 when the Southern Belle Restaurant, where the lodge members normally gathered for breakfast, was closed. The Masons decided to continue the country-style breakfast by preparing their own meal. The breakfast was later opened to other lodges and to the community.
