Bee school to begin in January

A basic beekeeping class is open to anyone interested in becoming a beekeeper or those wanting to refresh their beekeeping knowledge and skills. The course is sponsored by the Beekeepers of the Neuse in partnership with the Wayne County Cooperative Extension Office.
Classes will be held on Saturdays, Jan. 7, 14, 21, 28 and Feb. 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wayne County Cooperative Extension Office, 208 W. Chestnut St.
Registration is $50 per individual or $75 per couple/family. The cost includes a textbook, classroom training materials/notebook, refreshments and ongoing training with a certified beekeeper/mentor. Early registration is encouraged.
There are three ways to register and pay:
•Pre-register and pay at the Wayne County Cooperative Extension Office during office hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
•Mail registration form and check before Dec. 30 to Beekeepers of the Neuse, P.O. Box 977, Goldsboro NC 27533-0977
•On-site registration begins at 8 a.m. on Jan. 7 at the Wayne County Cooperative Extension Office.
