The Wayne County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team raided Room 222 at the Days Inn at 801 U.S. 70 Bypass East this morning after receiving information about methamphetamine being sold out of the room, possibly to military personnel.

The U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations assisted the Wayne County SWAT Team in executing the search.

"We received information last night that they were selling methamphetamine out of this room," said SWAT member Jerimee Hooker.

Hooker said OSI assisted with the search due to the possibility of methamphetamine being sold to "military personnel" from that location.

The two occupants of the room -- Jerry Mangum, 38, and Jessica Dunn, 30 -- will be charged for allegedly selling methamphetamine, but exactly what they are charged with was not available by press time.

Sheriff's deputy and FBI Task Force Officer Matt Miller said authorities recovered around seven grams of methamphetamine from the room, along with scales and packaging materials.

Authorities began searching the room before 7 a.m., and also searched a car parked outside the hotel room.

OSI personnel on scene declined to provide comment on the operation.
