Though there are some gas stations that have run out of fuel, such as the Circle K on 2007 Wayne Memorial Drive, the gasoline shortage is expected to be short-lived.

The gas shortage in the Southeast caused by a pipeline spill in Alabama is having an effect on Wayne County.

Some gas stations were selling only certain grades of gasoline early today while others were limiting the amount of gasoline a customer could purchase to only 10 gallons.

National gas company officials said Sunday that they expect the shortage to be short-lived and that pipeline problem is expected to be corrected this week.
