Break-in reported at Eastern Wayne Discount

Someone reportedly broke into Eastern Wayne Discount convenience store at 774 E. New Hope Road some time between last week and stole $1,500, 200 packs of Newport cigarettes, two cartons of Newport cigarettes and seven packs of cigars.
An employee reported the incident to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office around 10 a.m. Tuesday morning when they arrived to work and found that someone had kicked or pried open a door on the west side of the building and stolen the money and tobacco products.
The theft of items and money from the store was caught on camera, and the person was reportedly wearing a mask on his face and dark colored gloves.
There are no suspects at this time. The person caught stealing things on camera was roughly 5-feet-6-inches tall, 135 pounds and was wearing a blue shirt with dark colored pants.
