Drug charges filed against man

A Mount Olive man was charged with several drug offenses after he was stopped by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team last week.
John Burton Brokenshire, 46, of 3618 Emmaus Church Road, Mount Olive, was stopped Tuesday after leaving a home on which the ACE team was conducting surveillance.
Authorities found methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia. Brokenshire was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.
He was put in the Wayne County Jail under a $9,000 secured bond.
